On 20 March 2025, from 16:00 to 17:00 CET the Horizon Europe project SALTO consortium will host the inaugural webinar, offering a high-level overview of the project’s ambitious goals and its pathway toward launching Europe’s first reusable rocket.

This webinar is designed for professionals, students, and collaboration partners eager to explore innovations in European space technology. The session will outline the collaborative mission behind SALTO and spotlight the international consortium driving the upcoming hop test. Learn more about the webinar.

Participants will benefit from three engaging presentations by SALTO consortium partners:

  • ArianeGroup: As the project coordinator, ArianeGroup will share essential insights on the project’s objectives, its anticipated impact and the roadmap to success.
  • Swedish Space Corporation: Offering a brief yet informative overview of the test facility in Kiruna, this presentation will highlight the Esrange Space Center—a renowned facility operating since 1966 above the Arctic Circle, where the hop tests will be conducted.
  • DLR: The German Aerospace Center will detail the technology maturation efforts for future demonstrator reference configurations (T3) and full-scale launchers, focusing on advancements that extend beyond the T1H demonstrator.

The SALTO project is structured into two main branches: the first centers on the test flight campaign of the T1H demonstrator using one Prometheus® engine, while the second focuses on evolving these technologies toward a seamless transition for future launchers. In this second branch, a demonstrator configuration similar to T1H but featuring three Prometheus® engines—referred to as T3—is under investigation to study scalability for full-scale applications.
